Noel Acciari is a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The physical forward is joining former Maple Leafs GM Kyle Dubas after the Pittsburgh president of hockey operations agreed to sign him for three years at $2 million per season, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.
The Maple Leafs acquired Acciari in February as part of a package that saw Ryan O'Reilly also join Toronto.
O'Reilly signed a four-year, $18 million deal with the Nashville Predators earlier in the day.
In his season-ending news conference, Acciari indicated he was interested in a return to the Maple Leafs. Of course, with those comments, Dubas was still GM of the Leafs.
It's unclear if that impacted why the Leafs didn't land for the gritty player.
The 31-year-old had a goal and four assists in 23 games with the Maple Leafs last season. He also scored twice in 11 games during the 2023 playoffs.
In Pittsburgh, Acciari gets terms and slight raise from the $1.67 million average annual value of his previous deal.
