We’re officially just 53 days away from the Utah Mammoth kicking off their season at Ball Arena against the Colorado Avalanche.

Today, we are going to look at the player who has worn #53 in Mammoth history. Since the team has only been around for one season, there has only been one player. However, that will change as we go forward in their history. So, let’s look at Michael Carcone, who is #53 for the Mammoth.

Carcone, 29, has been part of the Mammoth organization for the past season, but also spent three years before that with the Arizona Coyotes. Last season, in 53 games he had seven goals and 12 assists for 19 points and was a minus-7. His career-high came in 2023-24 when he had 29 points in 74 games.

Over his four-year NHL career, he has appeared in 157 games and has scored 34 goals and 23 assists for 57 points.

Carcone was an unrestricted free agent at the end of the 2024-25 season, and after mentioning in his end-of-season press conference that he may want to look elsewhere for another playing opportunity, he ultimately decided to return to the Mammoth organization on a one-year, $775,000 contract.
