The medal round gets underway today at the 2025 IIHF World Championships, and the Utah Mammoth still have a solid group of players in the hunt for gold.

All eight quarterfinal teams are in action, and Utah’s well-represented across a few of them — so let’s run through who’s playing and when.

Things get going at 10:20 a.m. with two games: Team USA takes on Finland, and Austria goes up against Switzerland. Team USA has the most Mammoth players involved, with Logan Cooley, Clayton Keller, Josh Doan, and Michael Kesselring all suiting up.

Later in the day, at 2:20 p.m., Czechia faces Sweden and Canada plays Denmark. A couple more Mammoth players are in action in the late games. Karel Vejmelka will try to hold off Sweden to try and defend their gold medal that they won last year. As for Barrett Hayton, he will look to make an impact as Canada looks to punch its ticket to the semifinals.

Only four teams will move on after today, with a shot at the gold medal game on the line in the semis. The teams that fall short in the semis will battle it out for bronze — but before any of that happens, it all starts with the quarters.
