The Vancouver Canucks take on the Anaheim Ducks for the first time this season.

The Vancouver Canucks (5-2-3) continue their California road trip with a stop at the Honda Center to take on the Anaheim Ducks (4-5-2). After picking up two wins in their first three games, the Ducks have struggled to stay consistent, going 2-4-2 in their last eight. Tonight's game should provide plenty of opportunities for the Canucks as they look to improve to 5-1 on the road so far this season.

While Anaheim is still a rebuilding team, this game could produce some challenges for the Canucks. Projected starter Lukáš Dostál has been nothing short of incredible this season and has kept the Ducks in games on a nightly basis. That being said, if Vancouver can continue to create odd-man rushes and actually hit the net, they should be able to walk away with the victory.

    Players To Watch:

    Pius Suter:

Pius Suter has been Mr. Reliable for the Canucks over the past two seasons. He scored twice, including the game-winner against the San Jose Sharks and has proven that he can play both in the top and bottom six. Projected to play beside Elias Pettersson and Conor Garland, Suter should have a significant impact on this game.

    Cutter Gauthier:

Cutter Gauthier is one of many young stars on this Anaheim roster. The fifth overall pick from 2022 has four points in 11 games this season but is still looking for his first goal of his career. Knowing Vancouver's history, that could happen tonight as Gauthier faces off against his new division rival for the first time.
