Daniel Sprong's first goal with the Vancouver Canucks came on the power play.

It didn't take long for Daniel Sprong to get on the board for the Vancouver Canucks as he scored the first goal of the 2024-25 season. The goal was scored on the first power play of the season, as Sprong beat Dan Vladar from just above the faceoff dot. The goal was scored at 9:04 of the first period, with assists being credited to Filip Hronek and Danton Heinen.
Sprong was signed late in the summer to a one-year, $975,000 contract. Last season with the Detroit Red Wings, Sprong scored 18 goals and added 43 points in 76 games. The goal was Sprong's 86th of his career and 15th on the power play.
