Pettersson had an interesting game on the analytics side. During his 15:33 of even-strength ice time, Sweden held an 8-6 shots advantage while finishing tied in goals with one scored and one allowed. At the same time, Sweden lost the scoring chances battle 6-5, while Pettersson finished with an xGF% of 37.14 at even strength. While there were good aspects of Pettersson's game, he and Sweden were outplayed in this game, and, in the end, they were lucky to snag a point against Canada.

Up next for Pettersson and Sweden will be a battle against their rivals, Team Finland. This will be the only round-robin game that could feature two Canucks players, as Kevin Lankinen might be the starting goaltender for Finland. Puck drop is scheduled for 10 am PT on Saturday from the Bell Centre.
