The Canucks will begin their upcoming six-game road trip with a matchup against the Carolina Hurricanes tonight.
The Vancouver Canucks kick off their upcoming six-game road trip tonight when they face the Carolina Hurricanes in Raleigh. Vancouver's lineup is projected to feature a couple of substitutions based on line rushes from Wednesday's practice as well as today's optional morning skate, according to Thomas Drance of The Athletic. Here are the lineup notes for October 8, 2026.
Up front, Aatu Räty is projected to remain in tonight's lineup while Jake DeBrusk will return after dealing with a case of the flu. Coming out of the lineup is Brendan Gallagher, who was one of three skaters who stayed on the ice late after today's skate.
On defence, Victor Mancini looks to be drawing in alongside defenceman Elias Pettersson, having practiced on a pairing with him for the past couple of days. Luke Schenn is expected to sit out of tonight's game in his stead.
In net tonight will be Kevin Lankinen, who started in Vancouver's 3-2 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights on Sunday. The goaltender put up a strong effort in his last game, stopping 25 of 28 shots, after a chaotic performance against the Edmonton Oilers the Thursday before.

Cotter - Rossi - Boeser
Öhgren - Sasson - Karlsson
Bains - Räty - O'Connor
