Tom Willander remains out for the third consecutive game as the Canucks face the Oilers.

The Vancouver Canucks are set to take on the Edmonton Oilers for the third time this season with tonight's matchup. Vancouver won the first game of their series against Edmonton in a thrilling 6-5 overtime to open the 2026-27 season, though the Oilers took the second game by a score of 9-7. Here are the lineup notes for November 7, 2026.

Tom Willander will remain out of the Canucks lineup for the third consecutive game despite, per Sportsnet’s Iain MacIntyre, joining the team for practice the day before. Though he remains out, Vancouver will still be switching up their defence pairings. Zeev Buium will join Filip Hronek on the team’s top-pairing, while Luke Schenn will slot in with Elias Pettersson on the team’s third-line.

Other changes to Vancouver's lines include Arshdeep Bains coming in for Jacob Quillan, slotting in on the Canucks' top-line with Elias Pettersson and Brock Boeser.

Leevi Meriläinen will start in net for the Canucks tonight, with this being his first start of the season against Edmonton. While he didn't start, Meriläinen did play against the Oilers on October 1, subbing in for Kevin Lankinen and stopping 10 of 11 shots faced. This will be Meriläinen's second consecutive start, as he also played against the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday, making 23 saves on 29 shots.
