Canucks prospects Braeden Cootes and Caleb Malhotra will represent Canada at the 2026 World Junior Summer Showcase, while Brooks Rogowski will play for Team USA.

Three Vancouver Canucks prospects will represent their respective countries at this year’s World Junior Summer Showcase. Taking place from July 26 to August 1 in Windsor, Ontario, players from Canada, the U.S., Finland, and Sweden will skate in the summer tournament.

The first player to be named to his team’s World Junior Summer Showcase roster was Brooks Rogowski, who was invited to join Team USA for the tournament. The 6-foot-7 center, who was selected 33rd-overall by Vancouver this year, put together a 42-point season in 46 games with the Oshawa Generals of the OHL in 2025–26. He also represented the U.S. at the U-18 World Junior Championship, during which he scored three assists in four games.

Fellow Canucks prospect Matthew Lansing was also invited to the tournament by the U.S. but is no longer listed on Team USA’s roster.

On Team Canada, fellow 2026 Canucks draft pick Caleb Malhotra, will also be taking part in this year’s showcase. The 2026 third-overall pick is coming off a 29-goal, 55-assist effort in 67 games played with the Brantford Bulldogs of the OHL. Malhotra enjoyed an offensively-successful post-season with Brantford, scoring 13 goals and 13 assists in 15 games. This will be Malhotra’s first time representing Canada in international play.

Also joining Malhotra on Team Canada is 2025 15th-overall pick Braeden Cootes. The center made his NHL debut at the beginning of the 2025–26 season and is looking to make the jump to the NHL or AHL in 2026–27. He scored six goals and six assists as the captain of Canada’s U-18 team in 2024–25 and scored two goals in seven games at the U-20 World Junior Championship in December and January.

The 2026 World Junior Summer Showcase begins with a matchup between Team Finland and Team USA - White on July 26.
