Cammi Granato is now a Senior Amateur Advisor for the Canucks.
The Vancouver Canucks continue to make changes to their staff.
Vancouver’s latest staffing change will see Cammi Granato, one of the team’s assistant general managers since February of 2022, shift to the role of Senior Amateur Advisor.
“After taking some time to reflect on things, I feel this is the perfect time to transition into a new role with the Canucks,” Granato said in a press release earlier today. “I have had some very thoughtful and meaningful discussions with RJ and my family about my position within the organization. Helping on the amateur side is something I am extremely passionate about, and I am thrilled to continue working with our hockey operations department on that front. I have great confidence in our front office leadership group and love their vision and the direction they are taking with the team.”
Prior to joining the Canucks as an assistant GM during the 2021–22 season, Granato took on scouting roles with the Seattle Kraken for nearly three seasons. As a player, she has won one Olympic Gold medal, one IIHF World Championship Gold, and eight World Championship Silver medals.
Granato’s shift in roles marks one of many changes the Canucks organization has made to their staff since the end of the 2025–26 season. Former President of Hockey Operations, Jim Rutherford, has also transitioned into a Senior Advisor role, while Vancouver also hired now-Abbotsford Canucks GM and Vancouver assistant GM Richard Seeley.
