The Abbotsford Canucks have announced their home opener for the 2025-26 season. Abbotsford's first home game of the season will take place on October 24, 2025, when they take on the Ontario Reign. Last season, the Canucks posted a 3-1 record against Ontario, the L.A. Kings' AHL affiliate.
Abbotsford will be rocking as fans get their first opportunity to watch the defending Calder Cup Champions in action. The Canucks are projected to have yet another strong team, as the Vancouver Canucks re-signed key pieces that helped the organization capture the championship. Some notable names that the organization re-signed include Arshdeep Bains, Jett Woo, and Max Sasson.
Despite being the reigning champions, Abbotsford will start the season on the road. They will open their season on October 10 against the Henderson Silver Knights. The Canucks will also head out East early in the season, as they will take on the Laval Rocket's on October 17.

When Abbotsford hits the ice, they will be looking to achieve something only eight other teams have done, which is to win back-to-back Calder Cups. The last team to do this was the Hershey Bears, who won in 2023 and 2024. As for the last Canadian team to win back-to-back championships, that would be the Nova Scotia Voyageurs, who won in 1975 and 1976.
Tickets for the upcoming season are not yet available, but fans can sign up for early access using this link. As for the rest of the schedule, it will be released at a later date. 2025-26 will be the Canucks fifth in the AHL, as they moved to Abbotsford before the 2021-22 season.
