The Abbotsford Canucks went 4-4 against the Ontario Reign during the regular season.

After defeating the Colorado Eagles in the first round, the Abbotsford Canucks get set to battle the Ontario Reign in a five-game second-round series. As the Reign finished ahead of the Canucks, the first two games will be played in Ontario, California, while the final three games will take place in Abbotsford. This season, the Canucks went 4-4 against the Reign, outscoring their division rivals 24-20 during the eight games.
Getting past Ontario will not be easy, as they have a deep team full of exciting prospects. Associated with the L.A. Kings, their roster includes Brandt Clarke, Akil Thomas, Alex Turcotte and one-time Vancouver Canucks prospect Tyler Madden. Just like the Kings, the Reign are a solid defensive team that will be frustrating to play against all series.
When looking at Abbotsford's roster, there are a few players that should be able to step up in the second round. Sheldon Dries had five goals and nine points in six games against Ontario in the regular season, while Zach Sawchenko has been superb throughout the postseason. Overall, it will take a complete team effort for the Canucks to beat the Reign, but as they showed in the regular season, Abbotsford matches up well against their second-round opponent.
