Fin was one of 11 finalists for the class of 2026.
A Vancouver Canucks star has been passed over for the Hall of Fame. On Friday, the Mascot Hall of Fame announced its class of 2026, which included five inductees. Despite being a finalist, Canucks mascot Fin was not selected after a worldwide fan vote. Fin was the only NHL mascot among the 11 finalists.
The five mascots inducted are as follows:
- Cocky — University of South Carolina
- Miles — Denver Broncos
- Goldy Gopher — University of Minnesota
- Mrs. Met — New York Mets
- Cosmo — Brigham Young University
Only three NHL mascots have been inducted into the Mascot Hall of Fame. The first was Tommy Hawk, who was part of the 2017 class, followed by Youppi! in 2019. The latest mascot inducted was S.J. Sharkie in 2025.
Fin has been Vancouver's mascot for over two decades. During that time, Fin has worked over 900 games and attended multiple All-Star games. Fin can be seen at community events throughout the year all over the province.
