Mynio is one of ten defensemen vying for a spot on this year's roster. Some other notable names on the blue line this year include Tanner Molendyk, Caden Price and  Harrison Brunicke. The selection camp will include two games against a team of U SPORTS all-stars on December 12 and 13.

Through 15 games this season, Mynio is over a point per game, with four goals and 17 points. He was also recently named co-captain of the Seattle Thunderbirds and is closing in on 200 regular season games played in the WHL. Mynio is currently out of the lineup with an upper-body injury but is projected to return before the start of selection camp.

A third-round draft pick in 2023, Mynio has developed into one of the top defensemen in the WHL. He had a strong showing at Canucks Training Camp this season and played his first career pre-season game back in September. Before being drafted, Mynio was part of the Thunderbirds 2023 Memorial Cup team, which included playing in the Final against the Québec Remparts.
