While Celebrini and Willander are on the roster, only Willander dressed for this game. The right-shot defenceman, who was a sixth-round pick in 2023, hasn't played in a month, with his last game coming on January 10, 2024. This season, Celebrini has played 18 games and recorded four points.

As for Willander, who was drafted 11th overall in 2023, he played a significant role in Boston University's victory. The right-shot defencemen recorded a primary assist, had a shot on goal and was credited with three blocks. Over the last two seasons, Willander has played 65 NCAA games, recording 35 assists along with 41 points.

Now that the Beanpot is complete, Boston University has seven games before the start of the NCAA tournament. This year's tournament is scheduled to start on March 28, with the final being played in St. Louis on April 12. If Boston University can win the Frozen Four, they will capture the sixth championship in school history and the first since 2009, when they were led by Nick Bonino and Chris Higgins.
