The Canucks doubled up the Rangers 6-3 on Monday night.

Thatcher Demko was superb as the Vancouver Canucks (26-11-3) defeated the New York Rangers (26-11-2) 6-3 on Monday night. The Canucks goaltender stopped 39 of the 42 shots he faced, picking up win number 101 of his career. With the victory, Vancouver extended their perfect record when leading after two to 23-0 while also picking up their league-leading 25th regulation win of the season.

This was arguably the most exciting game the Canucks have played all season. Outside of Demko, Elias Pettersson put on a show, recording two goals and two assists, while Nils Höglander recorded the fourth multi-goal game of his career. In the end, this was a massive win for Vancouver as it showed not only can they compete with the top teams in the NHL but that they can get contributions from the entire lineup.

Here is what head coach Rick Tocchet had to say after tonight's game:

"I liked our start, obviously, I think for the most part. That's a tough team over there. We had contributes from a lot of different people, different lines. That's what you need to do to beat a team like that; you need a lot of contributions, and I thought we got it from everybody tonight."
