Don Cherry gave his prediction for tonight's game two matchup between the Vancouver Canucks and the Edmonton Oilers.
"I will take the Oilers on the money line," Cherry wrote on Northstar bets. "It will be another good game tonight."
Cherry compared the Flordia Panthers' rest time and poor game one performance to the Edmonton Oilers' situation in game one.
"Funny how both teams that went to game six-plus games, the Boston Bruins and Vancouver Canucks, won their first game in the next round. You would think those teams would be tired, and the Edmonton Oilers and Florida Panthers would be fresh," Cherry wrote. "When a team wins a playoff series early and waits for the other series to finish, it's tough as a coach to keep your team game-ready. As you saw, the Panthers were ready for Game 2 against the Bruins, and the Oilers will be ready for the Canucks tonight."
Cherry's one hesitation for picking the Oilers tonight was their goaltender, Stuart Skinner. Skinner didn't have the best game for Edmonton. He stopped just 19 of 24 shots.
The Canucks can take a commanding 2-0 series lead, and forward Brock Boeser knows that his team needs to start better than game one.
Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. PT.
