The Abbotsford Canucks were swept in their second-round series against the Ontario Reign.

The Abbotsford Canucks have been eliminated from the 2024 Calder Cup Playoffs. The Vancouver Canucks AHL team fell 4-3 on Wednesday night and were swept by the Ontario Reign in their second-round series. With the season now complete, expect to see a few players to be called up by Vancouver as the Canucks add reinforcements to their roster for the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Abbotsford started strong in Game 3 but really struggled in the second period. All four Reign goals were scored in the middle frame, turning a 2-0 lead into a 4-3 deficit. As for the goal scorers, it was Aatu Räty, Christian Wolanin and Marc Gatcomb, while Zach Sawchenko made 19 saves in the loss.
Overall, it was a good year for Abbotsford. They received standout performances during the season from Arshdeep Bains, Jett Woo, Max Sasson, Linus Karlsson and Räty while also gaining valuable playoff experience. While it wasn't the result they were hoping for, the 2023-24 campaign provided a good base for what should be a bright 2024-25 season.
