Former Vancouver Canucks broadcaster Jim Hughson is being inducted into the BC Sports Hall of Fame as a member of the media.
Before Hughson became a national broadcaster, he started with the Canucks radio broadcasts. He would be part of their pre-, post-, and intermission segments and fill in at play-by-play when needed.

He became a national broadcaster in 1998 but, after one year, returned to the Canucks local TV broadcasts. He eventually returned to Hockey Night in Canada as their lead play-by-play voice in 2008.
Hughson's voice is iconic to hockey fans. The legendary broadcaster announced his retirement in September of 2021.
Current Canucks TV Color Analyst Ray Ferraro is also being inducted into the BC Sports Hall of Fame as a player.
