Miller is the third player with a 99 overall HUT card in NHL 24.
J.T. Miller became the first Vancouver Canucks player to hit 99 overall in EA Sports NHL 24. Miller's 99 overall card is available in the HUT game mode and comes after he scored his 29th goal of the season on Thursday night versus the Seattle Kraken. With the update, Miller joins Drew Doughty and Philadelphia Flyers prospect Oliver Bonk as the three players with 99 overall HUT cards.
Miller's 99 HUT card is part of the "Fantasy Hockey" event, where players receive updated overall based on goal totals. In this event, forwards would receive a +1 overall rating boost for every goal they scored, while defencemen received a +2 overall for every goal. Goalies were also included in this event and received a +1 overall boost for every win. Of the 43 players included, Miller was the only current Canucks player included in this event, with Jonathan Dahlén being the only other player who used to play for Vancouver receiving a card.
With 76 points in 59 games, Miller is on pace to surpass the 100-point mark for the first time in his career. He is also three goals off, tying his career high, which he could surpass by the end of February. Miller also continues to move up the Canucks all-time points list and, based on his current pace, could become the 14th player in franchise history to surpass the 400-point mark later this season.
