Alex Edler and Mattias Ohlund are the only defencemen in franchise history who have more points than Quinn Hughes.

Quinn Hughes continues to climb the Vancouver Canucks all-time points list by a defenceman. Recording point 322, Hughes moved past Dennis Kearns and Jyrki Lumme into third on the franchise's all-time list. Hughes also owns the record for most points in a season by a defenceman with 81 and is projected to take home the first Norris Trophy in franchise history.
Next up for Hughes will be passing Mattias Öhlund for second on the franchise all-time points list for defenceman. Öhlund had 325 points during his 11-year career. Based on Hughes' current point pace, this could come as early as next week.
While Hughes won't pass Alex Edler's 409 this season, he very well could in 2024-25. With a handful of games remaining in 2023-24 after tonight, Hughes should continue to rack up the points and should be within 80 points to start next season. Despite only playing 355 games in his career, it is safe to say he has developed into the greatest defenceman in Canucks history.
