The NHL has announced the first 32 names selected for this year's All-Star Weekend in Toronto. Representing the Vancouver Canucks will be defenceman Quinn Hughes who was chosen for the second time in his career. The last time Hughes participated in the All-Star Game was in 2020 when he helped Team Pacific take home the championship.

Hughes has had an incredible start to the season. Not only does he lead all defencemen in scoring with 46 points, but his 36 assists rank third across the entire NHL. He also continues to rocket up the franchise's all-time lists and should finish the year in the top five for points by a defenceman in Canucks history.

With Hughes now named, it will be up to fans in Vancouver to ensure other Canucks join him. Online voting is now open at NHL.com/vote and closes on Thursday, Jan. 11, at 11:59:59 p.m. EST. Fans can select as few as one Player and a maximum of 12 players per online ballot. Each fan can cast a maximum of 10 ballots per 24-hour period. Fans can also vote via X by using the hashtag "#NHLAllStarVote" and a Player's full name, a Player's X handle or by tagging the Player's X handle. Only referencing a last name will not count.

Here is a look at the other 31 players selected to the All-Star Roster:
