Vancouver Canucks goalie Thatcher Demko was named the NHL's 3rd star of the week.
Demko won three games last week against three teams in a playoff spot. He surpassed his career high of 34 wins, which leads the league. He gave up two goals on 64 shots across the three games.
It would've been more, but he only stopped 12 shots against the Winnipeg Jets before leaving the game with an injury.
Demko improved his record to 34-13-2 with a 2.47 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage in 49 games. He ranks third in the NHL with five shutouts, sixth in save % and seventh in GAA.
The team will lean on Casey DeSmith for the next two to three weeks.
