Two Vancouver Canucks prospects are featured on The Hockey News' NCAA players to watch list.
With 100 players on Ryan Kennedy's list, the first Canucks prospect sits at No. 26, Tom Willander.
Willander enters his sophomore season at Boston University after a terrific 25-point freshman season. The BU team lost its best player, Macklin Celebrini, but its history suggests it will succeed again this season.
"Excellent tools allow Willander to defend and contribute on the offensive side of the puck; look for him to play for Sweden at world juniors again," Kennedy writes.
Willander was a top contributor for Sweden at the 2024 World Juniors. He had three points in seven games but was one of the team's top defensemen.

The second prospect on Kennedy's top 100 is at No. 54, Aku Koskenvuo. Koskenvuo was a fifth-round pick in 2021 and is entering his junior season at Harvard.
The Finnish netminder played in 17 games last season and recorded 5-6-4 record, a .910 save %, and a 2.95 GAA.
The NCAA prospect pool has recently been raised, and some of the best NHL players have come out of the college ranks.
