Vancouver Canucks GM Patrik Allvin announced 13 roster moves on Tuesday morning. The roster moves included four players being placed on waivers and nine players being directly assigned to the Abbotsford Canucks. Abbotsford is set to open its 2024 Training Camp tomorrow, with a scrimmage scheduled for Saturday.

The four players on waivers today are Phil Di Guiseppe, Nate Smith, Christian Wolanin and Jiří Patera. All four have NHL experience and are expected to play roles in the AHL this season. The one surprise is Di Guiseppe, who is the most likely of the four to receive the first call-up back to the NHL.

The nine players sent directly to the AHL are Linus Karlsson, Jonathan Lekkerimäki, Ty Mueller, Max Sasson, Christian Felton, Cole McWard, Kirill Kudryavtsev, defenceman Elias Pettersson, and Nikita Tolopilo. This group includes a few standouts from Training Camp and the pre-season, including Lekkerimäki, Sasson, and Pettersson. McWard's inclusion in the group is also a positive as it means he is close to or ready to rejoin the team after missing the last month with an injury.
