The Vancouver Canucks (36-12-6) wrapped up their five-game road trip with a 4-2 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks (14-36-3). With the win, Vancouver collects their league-leading 32nd regulation win while improving to 30-0-2 when leading after two periods. The victory was also the seven straight versus the Blackhawks, with the Canucks holding a 12-2-1 record in their 15 versus Chicago.

Once again, the story of the game was Vancouver's third line of Dakota Joshua, Teddy Blueger and Conor Garland. The trio combined for three goals and six points, with Joshua recording the first Gordie Howe Hat Trick by a Canucks player since Tanner Pearson in 2022. While most of the team played well against the Blackhawks, the third line were the difference makers in the end as Vancouver improved to 13-2-3 since the start of 2024.

Here is what Rick Tocchet had to say postgame:

"I thought it was a business-like game. Some good line. I thought the Garland line obviously was really good. I thought Juulsen was really good for us tonight; I thought he was excellent. Got our two points, 3-1-1 and now we get back home to Vancouver."
