Vancouver Canucks captain Quinn Hughes recently said that Nashville Predators superstar Roman Josi has joined him on the ice in Michigan.

Hughes had high praise for his fellow Norris Trophy winner, calling Josi one of the greatest players of this generation.

Josi's resume is spectacular. As the 2020 winner of the Norris Trophy, Josi has been nominated in three of the last five seasons. The 34-year-old is great for Hughes to skate with over the summer, as their playstyles are similar.

Both are smooth-skating defensemen who can lead their team's offensive attack from the blue line. While neither possesses a booming slapshot, both have terrific wrist shots, which are more effective in today's game.

Josi scored 23 goals last year to lead the league in goals by a defenseman. His career high of 96 points came in the 21-22 season. Hughes nearly matched that this season with his 92-point season.

The two captains faced off in the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs and could be compared as some of the best defensemen to play the game for generations.
