Former Vancouver Canucks defenseman Kevin Bieksa is holding an on-ice lesson to raise money for charity.
The Vancouver Hockey School is partnering with former Canucks defenseman Troy Stecher's charity, the TS51 Foundation, to support men's mental health. Bieksa lost a former teammate, Rick Rypien, after battling with depression. Rypien was only 27-years-old.
Bieksa has made a name for himself after his retirement as a pundit on the Hockey Night in Canada panel on Sportsnet. His takes are honest and fair, just like his play on the ice was.
That hasn't stopped Bieksa from being a good person. His knowledge of the game and former teammates has allowed him to become one of the best hockey panelists in the NHL.
The camp will take place at the end of the month from Aug. 26-29.
