Welcome to the Vancouver Canucks 2024-25 Milestones Preview. In this series, we take a look at which players are closing in on milestones ahead of the upcoming season. In this edition, we take a look at Brock Boeser, who should hit quite a few milestones this year.

After scoring 40 goals for the first time in his career, Boeser will be looking to replicate his success in 2024-25. In the process, he should hit multiple milestones, including becoming the ninth player in franchise history to surpass 200 goals. Currently sitting with 179, he should have no problem scoring the 21 needed to hit the milestone.

Sticking with scoring, Boeser will also have the chance up the all-time Canucks hat trick list. He is currently tied with Daniel Sedin for fifth with six and is one behind Stan Smyl, who has seven. If he can score three again this year, that would put him in a tie with Pavel Bure. From there, he would need just one more to tie the all-time lead, which Tony Tanti and Markus Näslund currently hold.

As for the power play, Boeser also has the opportunity to move into fifth all-time for power play goals. Currently, at 64, he needs 16 to pass Todd Bertuzzi and into fifth place. Considering 16 was the total he had in the 2023-24 season, there is a good chance he will be able to become just the fifth player to score 80 goals with the man advantage.

Lastly, Boeser should have no problem joining the 400-point club this season. He enters with 384 and would become the 15th player in franchise history to hit the milestone. While 400 is a special achievement, the real question is, can he make it to 450 by the end of the year?

The 2024-25 season should be a special one for the longest-serving player on the team. Not only does he have the chance to achieve numerous milestones, but he is also a free agent at the end of the year and will want to put forth a strong performance to get a big contract. Fans should expect plenty of memorable moments from number six as he enters his ninth season in Vancouver.
