The Vegas Golden Knights suffered a 6-5 overtime loss to the New Jersey Devils on Monday at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.
Jonathan Marchessault (two goals and one assist) and Nicolas Roy (one goal two assists) each had three-point nights. Logan Thompson made 32 saves.
The Golden Knights trailed 3-1 early in the second period, before scoring the next four consecutive goals.
It is just the fourth time in Golden Knights history that the team has lost a game after scoring five goals. They are 119-2-2 in those outings.
Vegas fell to 27-14-6 on the season. The Golden Knights continue their road trip with a game against the New York Islanders on Tuesday.
