The Vegas Golden Knights already have two games under their belt and will add a third one when they take on the Anaheim Ducks, who are opening their regular season schedule.
Vegas coach Bruce Cassidy said the Golden Knights might have an advantage when it comes to game readiness.
"We're two games into [the regular season]. So we have a little bit of an advantage there," Cassidy said. "They haven't seen that kind of intensity yet. ... So hopefully that's where we get to our game quickly."
Alex Pietrangelo being out was the big news out of the morning skates. Pietrangelo was hit in the head by a Nicolas Hague shot in the team's 4-1 victory against the San Jose Sharks, and Cassidy said he wasn't feeling well. Kaeden Korczak will fill in for defenseman.
