Orlando Ramirez-USA TODAY Sports - BREAKING: Golden Knights Claim Bjornfot From Kings

The Vegas Golden Knights have claimed defenseman Tobias Bjornfot off waivers from the Los Angeles Kings.

The 22-year-old defenseman was the No. 22 overall pick in 2019 by LA. Bjornfot has played 117 NHL games and has one goal and 14 assists.

The Kings likely placed Bjornfot on waivers to clear cap space. Viktor Arvidsson is getting close to a return and carries a $4.25 million cap hit.

With Shea Theodore on LTIR, the Knights now have another body that can play at the NHL level.

After the Golden Knights' morning skate, Paul Delos Santos will have more information and analysis on the move.
