Golden Knights forward continues to complement whatever line he plays on.

Pavel Dorofeyev is off to a great start in 2024.
The Vegas Golden Knights forward has scored in back-to-back games, and is finding a groove playing alongside Chandler Stephenson and Mark Stone.
“It’s nice to see his confidence growing and I mean he's one of those guys that just seems to be always in a good spot. He’s just a natural goal scorer,” Stephenson said. “I mean that you give him the puck, it's in the net, and you’ve seen in practice. It's just something that he's really good at is scoring goals For me and ‘Stoney,’ it's been a nice complement for us. He's just done awesome.”
Dorofeyev has 10 points (five goals and five assists) in 20 games this season, which is a new career high. He’s been a healthy scratch for 20 games this season.
Despite not playing for half the season, he’s found himself alongside Stone and Stephenson on the second line as a top-six forward on a good team.
“A lot of their plays come through the hockey IQ, reading off each other and how the other teams are checking,” Cassidy said. “‘Pav’ could fit in and read that. So he’ll complement them there. He moves the puck in the O-zone.
“He's hockey IQ is good enough to play with those guys that are playing a little bit give-and-go hockey.”
Dorofeyev has generated 54 high-danger chances thus far this season, and most of it can be attributed to the fact he gets to the front of the net and collects rebounds.
“He's inside plays inside. He's a big body guy that can get to the net,” Cassidy said. “He’s not huge by any means but has good enough hands to collect pucks in those areas and finish.”
Dorofeyev played most of last season alongside William Karlsson and Reilly Smith, but he’s proven to be a versatile player who can complement any line he plays on.
“He seems to recognize what that line needs and he's brought it,” Cassidy said. “So it's not the first time, he's had to do it on lines with skill players. So I think it's just something he can complement a line.”
