    Craig, 41, earns first head coaching job after spending past six seasons as an assistant on Golden Knights bench.

    The Henderson Silver Knights appointed Ryan Craig as the team's new head coach, the team announced today.

    Craig spent the past six seasons as an assistant on the Vegas Golden Knights bench, and this marks the first head coaching stint in Craig's coaching career.

    “I am excited for the opportunity to lead the Silver Knights and know we have the ingredients for success in place in Henderson,” Craig said via press release. “I believe my playing and coaching experiences, highlighted by this year’s Stanley Cup run, have prepared me well for this next step in my career. My family and I thank the Las Vegas community for being so welcoming during the last six years and appreciate the chance to remain here moving forward.”

    Prior to joining the Golden Knights as an assistant, Craig played professionally for 14 seasons, including stints with the Columbus Blue Jackets, Tampa Bay Lightning, and Pittsburg Penguins.

    Golden Knights name Steve McCauley as Director of Sports Performance and Medicine

    The Golden Knights also announced today that the Steve McCauley was named the Director of Sports Performance and Medicine.

    McCauley brings 33 years of experience in the health and medical field to the Golden Knights and was the President and CEO of Athletic Healthcare, which he founded in 2021.
