The Vegas Golden Knights will face threats from all teams in the Pacific Division. Some threats are naturally more dangerous than others.
In this article, we take a look at the Anaheim Ducks.
Vegas won the season series 2-0-1 against San Jose. Overall, the Golden Knights are 22-4-1 against the Ducks.
Austin Stanovich, site editor of The Hockey News’s Anaheim Ducks site, said the following about the Ducks:
-“Down the road in Anaheim, the Ducks don’t have the same lofty ambitions [as the Los Angeles Kings]. They’re still a rebuilding team and won’t be as focused on wins and losses this season. The main focus for them will be new head coach Greg Cronin instilling a new culture and identity for this team. Veterans like Alex Killorn and Radko Gudas were added in the offseason to help Cronin establish that new identity and to help young players like Leo Carlsson and Trevor Zegras continue to grow. It should be another season near the bottom of the league in Anaheim, but I do expect them to be better this season.”
While they're a fun team, the Ducks are closer to competing for a lottery pick than a playoff spot. But crazier things have happened.
