Vegas Golden Knight forward has two goals in preseason and has played well in his outings to help make case for making the team out of camp.

LAS VEGAS – Brendan Brisson said during Rookie Camp that he wanted to have a good camp and force the hand and put him on the NHL roster.
"I'm planning on having a big summer getting better, getting stronger and forcing their hand a little bit in camp," Brisson said at the time. “I'll be coming into camp ready.”
So far, he’s doing what he can do in terms of getting noticed. He has two goals and has displayed growth in areas of the game that Vegas coach Bruce Cassidy is looking for.
Will Brisson make the team? Let’s give you a reason for and a reason against putting him on the NHL roster to start the season.
It’s hard to ignore the goals and the NHL-ready shot.
It’s hard to ignore that he’s improving every time he steps on the ice.
He’s played well throughout the preseason, making it difficult for the Golden Knights to simply send him down. The fact that he is part of the final 26 shows how much the Golden Knights feel he can make this roster.
He will still need to beat out three players for regular playing time, but if there’s one thing that’s working for him it’s that there is an opening on William Karlsson’s left wing. If Brisson were the make the team and earn that spot, he would be akin to Karlsson working with Jonathan Marchessault as the one-timer threat.
Brisson will have growing pains, but there will be that regardless of who plays on the that left wing.
If Brisson were to make the roster, it would mean one of three players – Pavel Dorofeyev, Paul Cotter or Max Comtois will be placed on waivers. That’s not ideal.
All three have NHL experience and can handle being a healthy scratch in outings.
Brisson, however, needs games. He doesn’t need to make the NHL roster just to say he made it. He needs more outings and experience at the professional level to work on the skills Cassidy wants him to – board battles, defense, etc.
It does Brisson no good to put him on the NHL roster, if he was going to sit up in the press box.
That’s not the case with Dorofeyev, Cotter or Comtois. While the three would also need games, they’re NHL-ready and understand the demands of NHL-level play.
Brisson is not quite there yet. He probably gets there, but he needs more seasoning before getting called up.
