Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Ben Hutton played in his 500th career NHL game against the New Jersey Devils.
Hutton was a fifth-round pick in the 2012 NHL Draft by the Vancouver Canucks. He has 121 career points (23 goals, 98 assists), entering Saturday's game against the Red Wings.
Hutton spent most of his career in Vancouver, playing 276 games for the Canucks. He's also had stints in Los Angeles, Anaheim, and Toronto.
He recently signed a two-year deal with the Golden Knights with an annual average value of $975,000.
Hutton offers the Golden Knights a steady seventh defenseman, who can enter in and out of the lineup at a moment's notice. He paired with Alec Martinez to provide Vegas with a steady veteran third pair against the Devils.
