Jack Eichel and Jonathan Marchessault finished first and second in points in the 2022-23 Stanley Cup Playoffs and have been the Vegas Golden Knights' best forwards against the Dallas Stars.

Less than two minutes after Jason Robertson gave the Stars the lead, Eichel set up Marchessault for his second goal of the series to tie the game.

Eichel is up to one goal and four points and Marchessault has two goals and three points. The third player on their line is Ivan Barbashev and he's got two assists so far.

In last year's playoffs, Eichel and Marchessault were able to take over games. In the series against the Edmonton Oilers, it felt as if Eichel and Marchessault were in on every important goal.

Through the two games, it's felt very similar. Between both Game 1 and 2 of this series, Eichel has been on the ice for six of the seven goals while Marchessault has been on for five.

With the depth the Golden Knights have, on any given night it can be a different player's turn to shine but Eichel and Marchessault seem to be the most reliable offensively.

Throughout his career, Eichel has faced criticism for not being focused every game or his effort being low but since joining the Golden Knights, when the playoffs come around those issues tend to fade away. With a goal and an assist in Game 2, he became the fastest American-born player to reach 30 playoff points.

Eichel has developed into a dominant two-way force and maybe in a more offensively driven system, his goals and point totals may be higher, but his choice to buy into HC Bruce Cassidy's system has bode well for him.

If the two continue to click like they are right now, the Golden Knights could be in very good shape to go on another long playoff run.
