Carrier has been out since Jan. 4 when got injured against the Florida Panthers. Before sustaining the injury Carrier played 33 games scoring five goals and seven points. The Golden Knights have missed his speed in the bottom six.
Howden was injured against the Nashville Predators on Feb. 20, the same game where Stone was injured. Howden has played 54 games and scored five goals and 13 points.
The Golden Knights have recently welcomed Jack Eichel and Pavel Dorofeyev back to their lineup and are getting healthy at the right time. They currently hold the second wild card spot but would love to find a way to move back up in the standings and get home ice in the first round.
Howden took line rushes alongside Chandler Stephenson and Anthony Matha. Carrier was the extra forward.
HC Bruce Cassidy expects Howden to play tomorrow and is targeting Thursday's game against the Calgary Flames as a return for Carrier.
