The Winnipeg Jets suffered their first loss of the season when the Toronto Maple Leafs beat them 6-4 on Monday Night Hockey. It was a close game with the Jets almost coming back from a three-goal deficit but were unsuccessful.
They look to bounce back and continue their winning ways when traveling to the Motor City to take on the Detroit Red Wings, who have lost two straight games.
Winnipeg has won eight of their last 11 games against Detroit and will rely on their expected starting goaltender Connor Hellebuyck. In his last six starts in this matchup, he has a 2.55 goals against average with a .918 save percentage.
If they go with backup Eric Comrie, they will need more offence as he's allowed seven goals across two career starts versus Detroit and has a 3.72 goals against average over his last 15 career starts.
The Jets can certainly bring offence if needed as despite losing on Monday, they still scored four goals and kept their goals per game average this season in the top-2 with 4.44 over nine games.
Winnipeg's lead scorer Kyle Connor should continue to play a factor as he's recorded points in eight of his last nine games versus Detroit, including seven goals and six assists for 13 points.

The key players for the Red Wings will be Lucas Raymond and captain Dylan Larkin. Raymond leads Detroit in points with a goal and seven assists for eight points while Larkin has a killer history versus Winnipeg with a goal and six assists over their last five matchups.
