The Winnipeg Jets have won four straight matchups versus the Florida Panthers, including wins in three of their last four trips to Sunrise, FL

The Winnipeg Jets look to get back in the win column Saturday when facing off against the defending Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers. The Jets had their seven-game winning streak snapped Thursday after losing 4-1 to the Tampa Bay Lightning. It should be an elite offensive showcase as both teams rank top seven in offence with the Jets and Panthers averaging 4.35 and 3.53 goals per game respectively this season.

This is surprisingly a favourable matchup for Winnipeg as they've beat Florida in four straight matchups, winning each game by multiple goals. The last time the Panthers beat the Jets was April of 2022 when they pounded their opponent 6-1 at home. Florida will look to snap a subtle two-game losing streak on Saturday that has only slightly diminished their solid 11-5-1 start to the season.

Injuries and slow play hasn't stymied the defending champs with Sam Reinhart leading the way with 13 goals and 12 assists for 25 points. The 29-year-old BC native has proved his breakout season last year wasn't a fluke and should be a point of focus for the Jets as he's recorded a pair of goals and six assists for eight points in his last six games versus Winnipeg.

The Jets will look to respond with their elite top line duo of Kyle Connor and Mark Scheifele. The two have combined for 20 goals and 43 total points in just 17 games this season. It's hard to find a bad matchup for Connor and Florida is no exception as the Michigan native has four goals and five assists for nine points over his last four games against the Panthers. He will look to exploit Panthers confirmed starter Sergei Bobrovsky, who has a 5-10-2 record and a 3.57 goals against average in 19 career games against the Jets.

It should make for a close game and you can catch the game on Sportsnet at 6:00 PM MT, or catch the live broadcast on Power 97, the FM home of the Winnipeg Jets. If you are in the Sunrise area, tickets are very reasonable for Jets versus the Cats with the lowest pair being sold at roughly $27USD.
