Winnipeg Jets captain Adam Lowry finished 10th in Selke Trophy voting this season, receiving votes for the third time in his career.
The 32-year-old finished in seventh last season and 30th the season before. This season, Lowry finished with three first-place votes, four second-place votes, four third-place votes, nine fourth-place votes and 10 fifth-place votes, good enough for 115 points.
Lowry set a career-high in goals this season with 16 and finished two points short of his career-high in points with 34. He was a +18, the highest of his career and won 51.8 percent of his faceoffs. He excelled in a shutdown role under HC Scott Arniel and was terrific on the penalty kill.
Following the conclusion of the season, the Jets announced that Lowry will be out for 5-6 months as he recovers from successful hip surgery. Due to his timetable, Lowry could return as soon as the end of October, but if it takes him the full six months, he'd return by the end of November. He's eligible for a contract extension on July 1, and both he and GM Kevin Cheveldayoff are looking to put pen to paper sooner rather than later.
Florida Panthers' Aleksander Barkov is taking home his third Selke Trophy of his career, followed by teammate Sam Reinhart and Tampa Bay Lightning's Anthony Cirelli.
