Mark Scheifele and Logan Stanley were both absent from the Winnipeg Jets' Game 7 victory over the St. Louis Blues, and Josh Morrissey left before the conclusion of the first period, but all three players skated this morning and have identical statuses.

Coach Scott Arniel spoke to the media following this morning's optional practice, providing updates on the status of Morrissey, Scheifele and Stanley. Morrissey and Stanley skated before the Jets' optional practice and left when the rest of the team joined. Scheifele joined the large group but remains a day-to-day and a game-time decision for Wednesday's Game 1 against the Dallas Stars. All three players wore yellow non-contact jerseys.

Like most, if not every, playoff team, the Jets have kept the extent of the injuries private. They have not mentioned what the players are hampered by and if the game-time decision status is a smoke screen to throw off their opponent.

The Jets will have a full practice tomorrow, which should provide clarity on the status of each player. Morrissey and Stanley leaving before the main group joins is a telling sign that they are a long shot to be ready, but Scheifele joined the power play groups, meaning he is closer than the pair of defensemen.

The Stars are heading into the series with confidence as high, if not higher, than the Jets. While the Jets are suffering injuries, the Stars are getting healthier. Stars HC Pete DeBoer mentioned that Jason Robertson and Miro Heiskanen are progressing, and he hopes to get them back very soon.
