He won the award back in Week 3, and after a dominating performance last week against the Brampton Steelheads, he sees himself earning the award once again.
The Russian winger produced three goals and four assists for seven points in five games dating back to Dec. 28. It’s highlighted by his four-point outing on Jan. 4 against the Steelheads. He had two primary assists in that game, and with the game tied with less than a minute to play, Klepov scored the game-winner to give the Spirit two points in regulation.
Klepov, at the time of writing this, sits second in rookie scoring behind fellow NHL draft-eligible prospect Caleb Malhotra. His 47 points (22 goals, 25 assists) are eighth in overall league scoring. He’s a candidate to go late in the first round of the upcoming NHL draft and will get to show the scouts his skills in Peterborough next week at the 2026 Connor McDavid OHL Top Prospects Game.
