The Slovak defender should add some size and ability to Kingston's blue line.
It's been rumoured for a while, and the Kingston Frontenacs have officially signed Los Angeles Kings prospect Adam Goljer ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.
Goljer, 18, was a Frontenacs pick in the 2025 CHL import draft. He's developed in the HK Dukla Trencin program in his native Slovakia, and is now taking a step across the pond to head over to North America for his NHL draft-plus-one season.
The 6-foot-2 right-shot defender has been a fixture with the Slovak youth teams over the years, including appearing at this year's World Juniors as a 17-year-old before captaining his country at the U18 Worlds this spring, where he scored two goals and three assists as Slovakia captured a silver medal.
A mobile, active blueliner, Goljer enjoys jumping into the rush, keeping the play moving and always adding numbers to the attack. His skating gives him a good range of motion and helps him close gaps defensively, and he has experience playing in the professional ranks against men in the top Slovak league for the majority of last season.
That skillset and experience led to the Kings selecting him in the middle of the second round of this summer's NHL draft, and is also what makes Frontenacs GM Kory Cooper so excited about bringing him over to the OHL.

As Kingston reloads around young stars such as Matt Henderson, Aleks Kulemin, Gavin Betts and Nolan Snyder, they'll welcome Goljer in as another anchor to what should be a very solid back end.
And for Goljer, he'll look to develop his game playing on North American ice to make an impact on the Kings. He should also be a key player for Slovakia once again at this year's World Juniors.
