The London Knights have added to their goaltending depth with the signing of netminder Brian Cooke
The London Knights have announced the signing of goaltender Brian Cooke to an Ontario Hockey League Scholarship and Development Agreement.
Cooke, 18, spent last season in the North American Hockey League (NAHL) with the Minot Minotauros, leading the way as the club's starter with 32 games played, holding down a 15-10-0 record. Cooke recorded two shutouts with a 2.96 GAA and a .909 SV%.
Cooke also appeared in one USHL game, a relief appearance for the Omaha Lancers. Cooke is committed to play collegiate hockey in the NCAA with the University of the Holy Cross.
Having gone undrafted in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft, Cooke heads to London for next season, the Knights having drafted the Missouri-born goalie in the third round of the 2026 OHL Priority Selection, 61st overall.
London has a hole in their goaltending tandem with the departure of Sebastian Gatto, who is joining NCAA Dartmouth next season, leaving Vancouver Canucks prospect Andrei Medvedev as a likely starting option for the Knights.
Cooke will be in contention to become Medvedev's backup next season in net, with the 18-year-old a probable frontrunner for the #2 spot in the Knights net.
Along with Cooke, another leading option for the backup spot is fellow 18-year-old Seth Ronan, a 2024 OHL ninth round pick who spent last season in the GOHL with the Strathroy Rockets.
