A look back at the major moves made ahead of the OHL draft in June 2026.
With the OHL draft now come and gone, the June trade window has gone along with it.
There weren't a huge amount of blockbuster moves before the draft, but there were still a handful made that will shake up how the league looks heading into next season.
Of course, more is still to come before the 2026-27 campaign officially kicks off in September. But, here's all we know so far.
Storm Grab Blue Jackets Prospect Griffin From Generals

The hosts of the 2027 Memorial Cup continue to beef up their lineup heading into next season, grabbing Owen Griffin from the Oshawa Generals.
The Storm needed some top-six forward talent, and they've received that in the form of Griffin, and also an earlier trade for Ethan Czata.
In Griffin, they get a hard-working two-way forward that can help the team all over the ice. He scored 67 (25+42) points in 66 games last season in Oshawa, and will look to level up even more on a Guelph team loading up.
Heading back to Oshawa is 2025 second-rounder Mark Pape, prospect goalie Cruz Reznik, two seconds (GUE-2027, SBY-2028), a third (NIAG-2027) and a fourth (GUE-2028).
Guelph Acquires Pair Of Czech Imports From Brantford
It really was the Storm making all the big moves in this window, adding Vladimir Dravecky and Adrien Bartovic from the Brantford Bulldogs.
Dravecky, 18, had a solid rookie OHL season in Brantford, scoring 28 points in 58 games. He featured with the Czechs at the World Juniors and was a solid contributor on a loaded Bulldogs team.
The other piece of this trade is Bartovic, a 19-year-old forward who was a first-round import pick by the Bulldogs in 2024. He split last season between the Slovakian top flight and Czech U20 levels.
Assuming Bartovic commits, this will be a top-four blueliner and top-nine forward being added to Guelph, and you can start to see how this team will shape up heading into next year now.
In this trade, Brantford received a second-rounder (NB-2026), third (GUE-2028), fourth (LDN-2028), 5th (GUE-2029) and conditional 12th (BRAM-2028).
Firebirds Pick Up Import Forward From Storm
With the addition of both Dravecky and likely Bartovic, Guelph needed to shed an import.
That player was Simon Belehorsky, a Czech import who had nine goals and four assists in 34 games last season.
He heads out to Flint in return for the Firebirds fifth in 2028 and eighth in 2027.
Brantford, Kingston Make Forward Swap
It's a pair of 2008-born forwards being swapped, along with a couple of picks. Camden McCuaig is heading to Brantford, with Ryan Chamberlain going back to Kingston.
Both of these players split last season between the OHL and junior hockey, with each of them appearing in under 20 games in major junior.
That being said, it's clear either side sees some fit with the player they're acquiring, and are happy to give them more opportunity.
Also in this trade is Saginaw's 2026 6th heading to the Bulldogs, while North Bay's third and Brantford's seventh in 2027 go back to the Frontenacs.
Bulldogs Add Lappalainen For Second-Rounder
Another forward Brantford acquired was Brayden Lappalainen, a 2009-born winger from Flint who was selected in the third round of the 2025 OHL draft.
The Tecumseh native played in just one OHL game last year, but had 35 points in 49 games for Leamington of the OJHL.
Niagara's second in 2029 is the sole piece in return for Lappalainen in this deal.
IceDogs Acquire Overager Langdon From Attack
Finally, a small overager trade stood as the final trade from the June window.
Jared Langdon, a centre Owen Sound picked up from the BCHL part-way through last season, is heading out to Niagara for his overage season.
The St. John's, Nfld., native had four goals and three assists in 23 OHL games last season. The return in this deal is London's ninth in 2028.
