OHL Winners At 2026 CHL Awards cover image

Ryder Fetterolf, Cole Beaudoin and Chase Reid were honoured with awards at this year's CHL awards.

With the 2025-26 CHL season officially at a close, it's time to switch into off-season mode.

One of the major events of the summer is the CHL awards, where the top performers from across the three leagues get honoured for their standout performances in the season gone by.

This year, three OHL players received awards, with Ryder Fetterolf winning Goaltender of the Year, Cole Beaduoin winning Sportsman of the Year and Chase Reid winning Top Draft Prospect.

It was a great first OHL season for Fetterolf, who came over from the U.S. prep school system to become the starter in Ottawa.

He repaid that faith with an exceptional season, posting a 29-9-3 record, .923 save-percentage, 2.07 goals-against average with six shutouts.

Fetterolf's play helped propel the 67's into the conversation atop the Eastern conference, and now the Pittsburgh native is focused on this summer's NHL draft, where he could hear his name called in the later rounds.

Beaudoin picked up the Sportsman of the Year award, with the Utah Mammoth draft pick's competitiveness and spirit honoured with this award.

In 54 games this season, the Barrie Colts captain recorded 33 goals and 55 assists for 88 points. Now, he's expected to turn pro in the Mammoth organization for the 2026-27 season.

For Reid, his exceptional draft year has put him into the conversation to go right at the top of this year's NHL draft.

The 6-foot-2 right-shot blueliner skates well and produces a ton of offence from the blue line, and his 48 (18+30) points in 45 games on Soo see him seen as the top defenseman in the class by many scouts.

Reid is expected to continue his hockey career at the NCAA's Michigan State University next season.
