Joey Costanzo will play next season with Michigan Tech University after five years in the OHL.
With the Windsor Spitfires now in off-season mode after their Western conference final defeat, it's time for some of their players to figure out the next steps in their hockey careers.
One of those players is overager Joey Costanzo, who has announced his commitment to the NCAA's Michigan Tech University.
Costanzo, 20, has been Windsor's starter for most of the past four seasons. This year, he had a 32-11-5 regular season record with a .908 save percentage and 2.16 goals-against average.

Costanzo also has experience with Canada at the u18 worlds, though he didn't get into any games.
He came to Windsor in a season where they had title aspirations, but were shockingly upset by the Kitchener Rangers in a round one sweep that remains arguably the biggest surprises in OHL history.
He then stuck with the team as they rebuilt, and climbed back atop the West division this season. Their playoff run once again came to an end at the hands of Kitchener, but this time in the West final.
Now, he'll head across the border to join the NCAA, getting an education while continuing his hockey career.
