The Drummondville Voltigeurs have traded 20-year old right winger Noah Reinhart to the Cape Breton Eagles for a 2025 second round pick and a 2027 third round pick.
Reinhart is coming off of a 60 point season (26+24) between the Saint John Sea Dogs and the Drummondville Voltigeurs.
"We are very excited to have Noah, he is a proven winner," said Sylvain Couturier, the Eagles general manager in a press release today.
The trade was made in light of the news that overager Brayden Schmitt, and two other Cape Breton Eagles were involved in a multi car accident a few days ago.
"With Brayden Schmitt out for a period of time to recover from injuries, this was a move we had to make."
The Eagles will technically start the season with four overagers, as Reinhart will join Jacob Newcombe and Olivier Houde in the rotation.
The team will re-evaluate once Schmitt is back in playing shape.
Meanwhile, the trade solidifies Riley Mercer, Luke Woodworth and Sam Oliver as the Volts three overagers for the start of the 2024-25 season.
